School food programs address issues of both child ill-health and inequity and create economic spin-offs supporting local food systems.  

The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives report nearly one in four Nova Scotia children live in poverty.

Tell the Federal government how much you care about the health and well-being of children:

• Complete the Federal Pre-Budget Consultation before Feb. 19, 2021

• Send a letter or e-mail directly to your elected officials

• Post on all social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) and tag your elected officials
