We inspire and equip young people in Nova Scotia to learn about food and transform the food systems around them. We do this through food literacy programs, capacity building, and advocacy - across school and community settings.
The Grow Eat Learn program provides support, mentorship and resources for youth-focused gardens and growing spaces in Nova Scotia. Growing projects range from food forests, to garden beds, to indoor hydroponics.
The Youth Food Leaders Program supports skills-development and leadership through food. Programs are co-designed with youth and partners across Nova Scotia.
Our Food Skills workshops offer youth engaging, hands-on experiences that promote independence and confidence in choosing and preparing nourishing meals.
We provide funding for youth-led and youth focused food initiatives across Nova Scotia. We also partner with Provincial and National organizations to share funding opportunities that align with our program areas.
