Golden Carrot Winner 2021

Each year, we acknowledge an outstanding Nourish volunteer who has contributed their time and energy to advancing the work of Nourish through the Golden Carrot award. This year, the 2021 Golden Carrot was awarded to… Aimee Gasparetto!

Aimee first became involved with Nourish through her role as a Senior Community Food Coordinator at Ecology Action Centre, when EAC partnered with Nourish to co-develop the GROW EAT LEARN school food garden program. A few years into this work, Aimee was invited to join the Board of Directors at Nourish. With her, she brings an extensive knowledge of community food issues and food systems along with a passion for the work.

Whether participating for Team Nourish in the Blue Nose Charity Challenge, representing Nourish at Standing Committees of the NS Legislature, or meeting with MLAs, Aimee is always onside to support the efforts of Nourish. Aimee brings vast experience and energy to our work and is motivated to fulfill our vision, consistently seeking ways we can improve as an organization and grow our impact.

You can also find Aimee walking the walk with her two young daughters in her home kitchen!

Thank you Aimee for the time and passion you have gifted to Nourish. We are grateful for your dedication to supporting healthy, just and sustainable food futures for all children and youth in Nova Scotia.
