Why Donate a Nourish Your Roots Box?
When you donate a Nourish Your Roots box, you are doing 4 amazing actions!
1) The donated box will go to a family that needs support.
Nourish partners with community organizations, such as Family Resource Centres and Food Banks, to distribute donated boxes to the places they are needed most.
Last year, Nourish worked with 18 donation partners to deliver over 1200 boxes into the community! This year we want to beat that number.
2) You are supporting a school’s healthy food programming.
Funds from your purchase will support a school’s healthy food programming, such as breakfast, edible school gardens and cooking in the classroom. They need support now more than ever!
If you don’t have a personal connection with a school or if your school is not participating this year, you can still make a difference! Choose the “No Preference” option when prompted to select a school and your funds will support a school in need of additional support.
3) You are supporting a local farmer.

4) You are supporting your local environment by reducing food miles.
“Food miles” measure how far the food needs to travel before it reaches the consumer. Supporting local growers and producers reduces the environmental impact of your food by reducing the number of food miles.
