Now that Canada has a National School Food Program, these promising school food programs illustrate the innovation that is already happening to support the health, education and overall well-being of children and youth. This report responds to a need for insight into the operational details of school food programs that exist to meet the diverse needs of communities across Canada.
Launched in fall 2024, this updated provincial policy provides guidance on all foods and beverages served and sold in school, as well as other aspects of the school food environment.
