Nourish Nova Scotia is a registered charity working to inspire and equip young people to learn about food and transform the food systems around them.
There are a number of ways our work is supported by generous donors.
Nourish Nova Scotia’s work is supported by our generous donors. All of our programming is free for youth participants across school and community settings, offering a variety of ways for them to learn about food and transform the food systems around them. We also engage in advocacy and capacity building work across Nova Scotia. Join in and support our mission!
Introducing a new way to support Nourish Nova Scotia! Choose from a selection of symbolic gifts, from garden seeds and tools to youth workshops – for yourself or as a thoughtful gift. All donations will support Nourish Nova Scotia’s work and will receive a charitable tax receipt.
Team Nourish Nova Scotia members lace up each year for a weekend full of fun, community, and unforgettable memories, all in support of Nourish Nova Scotia.
The Nova Scotia School Food Fund is administered by Nourish Nova Scotia through our partnership with the government of Nova Scotia, and all donations to this fund will receive a charitable tax receipt. 100% of the funds are then disbursed to schools across Nova Scotia via the provincial government.
Our Food Skills workshops offer youth engaging, hands-on experiences that promote independence and confidence in choosing and preparing nourishing meals.

Donate Securities
Donating publicly traded securities and mutual funds to Nourish Nova Scotia allows you to amplify the impact of your gift so that you can make a bigger difference in the lives of children and youth.
By donating securities, you receive a double tax benefit – you eliminate the capital gains tax normally paid when appreciated securities are sold and receive a charitable tax receipt issued for the appreciated value of your securities. A gift of securities, therefore, benefits you more than giving cash, and allows you to make a larger gift. Please consult a tax advisor regarding which type of gift works best for you.

The Nourish Nova Scotia Endowment Fund
Nourish Nova Scotia has an endowment fund, administered by the Communities Foundation of Nova Scotia, which supports our work. Charitable bequests in your will, donations of securities, or gifts in larger amounts can be directed to this fund to support our work in perpetuity.
