School Garden Grant

To support school-based growing projects over the 2024 growing season, with the help of the Province of Nova Scotia, Nourish Nova Scotia is offering School Garden Grants up to $500. The grant aims to help support the creation of a new or existing garden. If eligible, the only requirement to receive this Grow Eat Learn (GEL) School Garden Grant is the completion of a School Garden Questionnaire (i.e., if you’re eligible and complete the steps below, you’re approved!). Who can apply:

Any representative of a school garden or a community garden at a school

How to apply:

Step 1 - Complete the Expression of Interest Form

This is where we gather all the information needed to send out a cheque to your school or organization. The form will also ask you for a brief outline of what the funding will go towards.

Step 2 - Complete the 10-minute School Garden Questionnaire

After submitting the Expression of Interest Form, you will be given a link to the questionnaire about the school growing project that you are involved with. Once completed, Nourish will be in touch with a follow-up and a cheque.
