Explore our Farm to School Snack resources about Bell Peppers here.

Coming Soon! Take a behind-the-scenes look at how local Nova Scotian fruits and vegetables are grown with the Farm to Snack Adventures video series. A local elementary school student narrates each video in both English and French. Sharing the video link with teachers in advance of snack day is encouraged.

Information Sheet

The Farm to School Snack Information Sheets share details about how each fruit or vegetable is grown, how it’s enjoyed around the world, fun facts, and creative ways to explore the snack. Before snack day, be sure to fill out the sheet with the farm name and location. To support the taste-testing experience, the sheets can be shared in part during morning announcements, photocopied and placed on the delivered snack tray, or shared digitally with teachers in advance of snack day.

Fresh Story Sheet

Agriculture in the Classroom’s Fresh Story Sheets provide educational activities centered on the local fruits and vegetables featured in the Farm to School Snack program. These interactive resources are linked to the curriculum for Grades Primary–3 and Grades 4–6, including Language Arts, Math, Visual Arts, Social Studies, Science, Health, and Physical Education. Sharing the resource with teachers ahead of time may enable it to be incorporated into classroom curriculum, enhancing the taste-testing experience.
