Nourish manages Breakfast Club of Canada (BCC) funding in Nova Scotia. This helps to ensure an equitable division of funds based on local knowledge and also serves to reduce the application and reporting obligation for school administrators. Nourish provides BCC grants to Nova Scotia schools through their Regional Centres for Education (RCEs) and Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP). For schools not in an RCE or CSAP (i.e. Mi'kmaw Kina'matnewey schools or other community learning centres), please reach out directly to Nourish’s Program Development Coordinator.

Looking to determine if your school is BCC supported? For schools in a RCE or CSAP, the first point of contact is with the corresponding RCE/CSAP representative for school food. RCEs and CSAP representatives have a big picture view of all major sources of funding available in their region and are in the best position to inform and decide which schools in the region will receive BCC support (and are eligible based on BCC criteria). This process is undertaken in June of each year for the following school year.
