Funding Opportunities

Funding for Youth-Focused Food Initiatives

Nourish Nova Scotia provides funding for youth-led and youth-focused food initiatives across Nova Scotia. We also partner with Provincial and National organizations to share funding opportunities that align with our program areas.

Current Opportunities

Atlantic School Food Infrastructure Fund

As part of the National School Food Program, the federal government has created the School Food Infrastructure Fund, which supports non-profit organizations to  produce, process, store, and distribute food for school food programs. Connected to the larger Local Food Infrastructure Fund, the School Food Infrastructure Fund will strengthen community and local food systems through investments in infrastructure that help ensure more children have access to locally produced nutritious meals. Nourish Nova Scotia is part of an Atlantic Coalition that will distribute these funds through the Atlantic School Food Infrastructure Fund.
