Turnip

We’d love to hear about your students’ experiences—their feedback helps us learn more about how they enjoy trying local fruits and vegetables. Please take a moment to complete the short survey with your classroom after each monthly snack.

The Farm to Snack Adventures video series invites students to explore how local fruits and vegetables are grown in Nova Scotia. Filmed on farms in the Annapolis Valley, the videos are narrated by a middle school student and are available in both English and French. These short videos are perfect for sharing during a Farm to School Snack taste test!

Information Sheet

The Farm to School Snack Information Sheets share details about how each fruit or vegetable is grown, how it’s enjoyed around the world, fun facts, and creative ways to explore the snack.

Before snack day, fill in the farm name and location, then save the document. To support the taste-testing experience, highlight key facts during morning announcements, place copies on snack trays, or send the sheet digitally to teachers in advance to support classroom learning.
