Food for Thought: A Youth Zine Project

Share your food story, food experiences, or dreams for your local food system through a zine making workshop and sharing!

We're working on an exciting Zine initiative that aims to gather and amplify youth perspectives on food-related topics that we will host and share through an online zine library.

What is a zine?

A zine is a self-published booklet or magazine, often created by hand or digital tools. It typically focuses on niche interests or personal expression.

About the project

Youth are invited to participate in a collaborative zine-making project by attending a workshop, learn about the zine-making process, and produce a zine about a food-related topic.

To support the zine-making process, in-person workshops will be held across Nova Scotia from April to June. A virtual workshop will also be offered. Share your food story, food experiences, or dreams for your local food system through a zine-making workshop and sharing!

Can’t make it to a workshop? We still invite all youth to share their food story, food experiences, or dreams for their local food systems on our online zine library by submitting a zine using the link below!
